Middle Lion water falls - “The crystal clear water in the Middle Lion water falls is cold and refreshing” Even in dry years Middle Lion water falls are beautiful. Only a 2.3 mile hike one way with a 400 foot climb in elevation out of Middle Lion Campground in Rose Valley. The east and west canyons have many beautiful water falls. Ask our National Forest Rangers about this trail and hike. Their office is conveniently located a couple of doors down from ours.

Bicycles of Ojai 108 Canada Street (805) 646-7736 - Bicycle rentals is the best way to see and get around Ojai. You can even ride to the Ventura boardwalk on Ojai’s bike path down to the Ocean. Bicycles are rented out by the hour/$6, day/$26 and week/$50!

If you are into "Green" and hungry, then you must go into Vesta Home & Hearth and try one of their salads! An Ojai favorite gaining popularity daily is the “Chop Salad”.

A Ojai hidden secret and for us Tamale lovers, is Gourmet Tamales hidden at the back of Fitzgerald Plaza at 423 Ojai Ave unit #33 (the last unit). Seek them out for an inexpensive meal! A local favorite is the chicken tamale with their green or “gringo” sauce!

For an authentic Jersey Philly sandwich as well as the nicest sandwich maker in Ojai, go see Ken at Jersey Mike’s at 423 E. Ojai Ave. A local favorite is just sitting outside along Ojai Ave. watching the traffic going by while enjoying a Jersey Mike’s sandwich and cookie!
